DESCRIPTION:Drop off your coats\, sweatshirts\, blankets\, and gloves at the church between now and Palm Sunday\, March 29\, 2026.  You can also bring them to our Palm Sunday worship service at 9am and lay them down in the central aisle to welcome Jesus Christ the King. “They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road\, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.”  Matthew 21:7-8 \nAll items will be donated to the local ministry of His Helping Hands.   Visitors and newcomers are welcome to attend Our Redeemer’s Palm Sunday service @ 9am to celebrate the triumph of the King.

SUMMARY:Children's Sunday School
DESCRIPTION:Youth ages 3yrs-6th grade are welcome to join us each week to learn about God’s big story. \nGod’s Big Story (GBS) invites children to enter into the narrative of God’s abounding faithfulness and love for all of his beloved children. Our aim is that children and their teachers might hear the gospel of Jesus Christ\, know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and experience the fullness of new life in Christ as part of His body\, the church. \nLearn more about our curriculum here.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us on February 27 & 28 for Weekend in the Word.  Marla Tuski will be speaking on Spiritual Direction: Companioning Another Who is Beloved by God. \nThe 1st session on Friday\, February 27\, 7:00-8:30pm will be on: Our Spiritual Lives: A Journey Shared by All Believers. \nMarla will return on Saturday\, February 28\, 9am-noon for the 2nd session & 3rd sessions talking about: Foundation of Spiritual Direction: Knowing God with Head and Heart & Experiencing and Leading Spiritual Direction: A Glimpse inside the Practice\, respectively. \nMarla Tuski has been a spiritual director for 7.5 years\, since completing a certificate in direction from SoulFormation (info at SoulFormation.org). Her training included 18 months at SoulFormation’s Academy of Spiritual Formation which required reading and response papers\, intensive retreats\, and spiritual direction in peer-based triads\, all focused on her own spiritual formation. Following that\, she was accepted into SoulFormation’s School of Spiritual Direction where she trained and received supervision for 8 months.  She continues her professional development by participating in SoulFormation’s Community of Spiritual Directors\, which requires that she meets regularly with her own spiritual director and that she participates in a bi-monthly supervision group. \nPrevious education: \nBachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology\, Western Washington University \nMaster of Science in Mental Health Counseling\, Western Washington University \nShe has done a year’s worth of study in theology and Biblical Studies at Regent College. \nMarla has also completed training to lead the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises and has led people through the 19th Annotation of the exercises for each of the last five years. \nShe has worked as a mental health counselor\, an academic advisor at Whatcom Community College\, and as a minister of administration at Northwood Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Blaine Washington. She is currently a practicing Anglican learning the rich resource of the Book of Common Prayer. She considers both receiving and offering spiritual direction to be among the great graces of her life.
