1 John 4:7-21
Listen as Mark Bassett speaks on the importance of Agape in an authentic Christian life. Early Christians dusted off the word Agape in the Roman world and showed its centrality to Christian life. Paul reminds us that Christians need to love the poor, the decrepit, and the children like Christ. Christ did not love those on the fringes of society because of who they were, but because they were image bearers of God. Christian today should do likewise. Our love for our “neighbors”, Christian or non-Christian, should call us to action; action that springs out of Agape.
