Psalm 84:1-6, Isaiah 66:1-6 & Luke 18:9-14
In the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector, the Pharisee is confident in his own righteousness and thanks God that he is not like those other sinners. The tax collector does the opposite, he prays that God makes an atonement for him.
