When Christ asks the disciples in John 1:38 “What do you want?” he wants to know what is your desire? What do you love? What is driving you deep within? What is going on in your heart? He calls us to each take a “love” inventory of our daily habits and desires to see what our heart truly does love and want. He asks us to see what external magnet is pulling at us and orienting our lives. What we want and love is formed deep within our hearts through habits that we intentionally or unintentionally practice.
