We enter 1 Samuel 25 after we see David refuse to take revenge on King Saul who has been pursuing him in an effort to kill him and his family in chapter 24.  But in chapter 25 we see David enraged and desirous of revenge after being slighted by someone he saw as beneath him.  David is now on the verge of becoming Saul, or even Nabal, as he believes he is justified to do God’s work of righting a wrong.  But thankfully Abigail enters the story and stops David in his tracks with her beauty, intelligence, extravagance, generosity, and courage.  Abigail helps David to remember that at the heart of Christianity is the call to love your enemy.  Join Pastor Mark as he encourages us to look at our own Nabals we need to forgive.
