Luke 4:-13 and Isaiah 58:1-12
Lent is a season of confession and reflection. We often think that the “hinge” moment in the life of Jesus is the week of the crucifixion. And by no means do we want to diminish the cross, as it is the central point. But the temptations are the “center” of Jesus’s life, the hinge on which everything turned when Jesus came into his self-awareness as the Son of God. And while being tempted, Jesus was determined to worship God alone. Not power or miracles. Join Pastor Mark as he encourages us look at the temptations in our own lives that we need to wrestle to the mat and pin in the name of Christ in our quest to worship God alone.
