Today Pastor Mark would like you to focus on the spirit of Christ and the way we travel in life. The title of the sermon is “Sanctifying the Means.” Sanctifying is another way of saying holy. It is the process of giving proper attention to the means of achieving a particular goal. If the WAY to our end isn’t in the Spirit of Christ, our end result is tainted. The scriptures are a means to an end. The end result of our reading and learning the scriptures is deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The scriptures are a WAY of knowing Jesus. The challenge of Christian followership is that we are to pay close attention to him and his ways. Everything is to be done along the way in the Spirit of Jesus the WAY.
